Description:
At 657 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of
Center, or 18 miles southwest of Lewis And Clark State Recreation
Area, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported ping pong ball sized hail at
654 pm in Verdigre.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southwestern Knox County, including the following locations... The
Highway 14 And 59 Junction, Bazile Mills, and Santee Reservation.
