At 952 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles north of Keystone, or 15 miles north of Ogallala, moving northeast at 50 mph. THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR NORTHEASTERN KEITH AND SOUTHEASTERN ARTHUR COUNTIES. HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Automated weather sensors have recorded multiple 60 to 70 mile per hour wind gusts across Garden and Keith counties. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely. Locations impacted include... Ogallala, Brule, Lemoyne, Keystone, Kingsley Dam, Eagle Gulch Campground, Big Bald Hill, Belmar, Bucktail Lake, Otter Creek Campground, and Lake View Campground. This includes the following highways... Highway 61 between mile markers 89 and 91, and between mile markers 94 and 114. Highway 92 between mile markers 123 and 138.
