Description:
At 721 PM MDT/821 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles
northeast of Stratton, or 9 miles west of Trenton, and is nearly
stationary.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR areas north of Stratton.
HAZARD...Three inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters reported baseball sized hail 8
miles north-northwest of Stratton at 8:19 PM CT.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
siding, and vehicles.

Trenton, Palisade, and Stratton.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
This is a dangerous storm. Prepare immediately for large destructive
hail capable of producing significant damage. People outside should
move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from windows.
If on or near Swanson Lake, get away from the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
