At 802 PM MDT/902 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles north of Stratton, or 15 miles northwest of Trenton, moving north at 10 mph. THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR areas north of Stratton. HAZARD...Three inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters reported greater than one inch hail 8 miles north-northwest of Stratton at 8:50 PM CT. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured. Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs, siding, and vehicles. Locations impacted include... Palisade.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
