Description:
At 441 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 13 miles southwest
of Agate Fossil Beds National Monument, or 18 miles northeast of
Torrington, moving southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Emergency management. At 436 PM golf ball sized hail was
reported south southeast of Prairie Center .
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of west
central Sioux and east central Goshen Counties.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
This thunderstorm is capable of producing all types of severe weather
including extremely large hail, destructive straight line winds and
tornadoes. Move quickly to a safe shelter, such as an interior room,
a bathroom or closet or basement.
