Southwestern Cape May County in southern New Jersey... * Until 615 PM EDT. * At 549 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Scotch Bonnet, or 9 miles northeast of Cape May, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * Locations impacted include... North Wildwood, Sea Isle City, Avalon, Stone Harbor, Cape May Court House, Scotch Bonnet, Rio Grande, West Wildwood, and Whitesboro-Burleigh. This includes Garden State Parkway between mile markers 4 and 15.
