At 701 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Sayreville, or near Perth Amboy, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Newark, Jersey City, Jamaica, Elizabeth, Flatbush, Flushing, Bayonne,
Mott Haven, Hoboken, Plainfield, East Tremont, Linden, Coney Island,
Secaucus, and Harrison.
This includes the following event locations Brooklyn Bridge Park,
Sports Illustrated Stadium, and Rockefeller Center.
