At 1245 PM EDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain with several roads closed in Camden and Gloucester County. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Trained spotters reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses. Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Cherry Hill, Evesham, Mount Laurel, Deptford, Voorhees, Glassboro, Lindenwold, Bellmawr, Woodbury, Pitman, Clayton and Berlin. This includes the following highways... Interstate 295 in New Jersey near mile marker 12...and between mile markers 29 and 41. Atlantic City Expressway between mile markers 36 and 44. New Jersey Turnpike between exits 2 and 4.
