At 128 PM EDT, the New Jersey Department of Transportation reported all lanes were closed, in both directions, on I-287 in the Bridgewater area. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas. Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Morristown, Somerville, Somerset, Edison, East Brunswick, Bridgewater, Carteret, Dover, Madison and Middlesex. This includes the following highways... New Jersey Turnpike between exits 10 and 13. Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 44. Interstate 78 in New Jersey between mile markers 28 and 42. Interstate 80 in New Jersey between mile markers 40 and 47. Garden State Parkway between mile markers 126 and 134.
