Description:
At 218 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from near Blanco Trading Post to near
Marquez, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Pueblo Pintado, Ojo Encino, Counselor, Torreon Navajo Mission,
Nageezi, Blanco Trading Post, El Huerfano Trading Post, Marquez and
Torreon.
This includes Highway 550 between Mile Markers 76 and 136.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
