Description:
At 331 PM MDT, scattered strong thunderstorms were developing across
the northern reaches of the Jornada del Muerto, mainly north of the
Spaceport. Due to a very dry air mass, the individual storms will be
short lived, but with the potential to produce highly localized,
very strong wind gusts, potentially exceeding 50 mph or becoming
briefly severe.
HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and kick up
blowing dust.
Locations impacted include...
Engle, Cutter, Spaceport America, and Salinas Peak.
