Description:
At 308 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms extending from 13 miles south of Mesita to 7 miles
northwest of La Joya, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Bernardo, Sabinal and Abeytas.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 60 between Mile Markers 166 and 170. Interstate 25 between
Mile Markers 173 and 181.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
