Description:
At 419 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Chilili, or 11 miles northwest of Estancia, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Moriarty, Estancia, Chilili, McIntosh, Escabosa, Tajique, Torreon,
Miera, Ponderosa Pines and Cedro.
This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 191 and 201.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
