Description: 
At 333 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over McCartys, or 11 miles southeast of Grants, moving north at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph, heavy rain, and half inch size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Grants, McCartys, San Fidel, Skyline-Ganipa, Acomita Lake and North Acomita Village. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 87 and 101.
Instruction: 
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Heavy rains from thunderstorms can produce sudden and dangerous flows in arroyos, ditches and over low water crossings. Do not attempt to drive through areas where water covers the roadway.
