FOR THE NORTHEAST PLAINS, NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS, AND MUCH OF WESTERN
NEW MEXICO...
.Critical fire weather conditions today focus over the northeast
portion of the state, with elevated to near critical conditions
prevailing elsewhere. Isolated dry storms in central and northern New
Mexico Tuesday afternoon may start new fires and create gusty and
erratic outflow wind gusts. Confidence in critical fire weather
conditions Tuesday is highest in the northwest portion of the state,
with lower confidence in the northeast where humidities are trending
higher.
* AFFECTED AREA...West Central Mountains (Zone 105) and West Central
Basin and Range (Zone 109).
* TIMING...From Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35
mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Relative Humidity between 10 to 15 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.
