West Central San Miguel County in northeastern New Mexico... * Until 500 PM MDT. * At 205 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain over the southwest portion of the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon Burn Scar. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding in and around the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon Burn Scar. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon Burn Scar. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... This is a life threatening situation. Heavy rainfall will cause extensive and severe flash flooding of creeks, streams and ditches in the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon Burn Scar.
