East Central Grant County in southwestern New Mexico... * Until 700 PM MDT. * At 453 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, low water crossings, and low-lying areas. Rapid rises are possible on the Mimbres River near San Lorenzo down to near Sherman. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... San Lorenzo, Sherman, Mimbres, San Juan, Hanover, Fierro and Georgetown.
