Description:
At 413 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated that earlier thunderstorms
produced heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.75 and 1.5
inches of rain have fallen. While additional rainfall amounts will be
light, up to 0.25 inches, the risk for flash flooding continues.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

Mainly rural areas of South Central Cibola County.
Instruction:
Do not drive your vehicle into areas where water covers the roadway.
The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Do not camp along streams and rivers. Remain alert when hiking in
steep, narrow canyons. Know where you are relative to low spots and
drainages.
