Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
area, South Central Mountains.
* WHEN...From 11 AM MDT this morning through this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall will begin
to develop over the Sacramento and Capitan Mountains by late this
morning. The activity will move slowly southwestward across the
Ruidoso area during the afternoon with rainfall amounts up to 1.5
inches possible. There is a moderate risk of flash flooding below
recent burn scars.
