* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following area, South Central Mountains. * WHEN...Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Storms are expected to develop Saturday afternoon across the Sacramento Mountains, moving slowly to the southwest. Rainfall rates may exceed 1 inch per hour in the strongest storms. Storms from Friday have made soils even more susceptible to flooding. There is a moderate to high risk of flash flooding below the area burn scars. - This includes the Ruidoso area burn scars and the Seven Cabins burn scar. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
