* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of west central New Mexico, including the following area, West Central Plateau. * WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing rainfall rates in excess of 2 inches per hour Saturday afternoon. This activity will move slowly westward with repeated rounds of heavy rainfall possible through Saturday evening. Recent heavy rainfall will exacerbate the risk for significant flooding in areas already impacted by flood waters. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
