Description:
At 308 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Ribera, or 22
miles southwest of Las Vegas, moving south at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Ribera, San Jose and Sena.
This includes Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 316 and 332.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing
dangerous hail and damaging winds.
Accumulations of small hail on roads can create very slick and
hazardous driving conditions.
