Description:
At 311 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Coyote Creek
State Park, or 12 miles northeast of Mora. This storm was stationary.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Ocate, Coyote Creek State Park, Ojo Feliz, Guadalupita and El
Turquillo.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Accumulations of hail on roads can create very slick and hazardous
driving conditions.
