Description:
At 414 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles east of
Bernardo, or 18 miles south of Belen, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Bernardo, La Joya, Veguita, Casa Colorada, Jarales, Rio
Communities, Contreras, Las Nutrias and Abeytas.
This includes the following highways...
Highway 60 between Mile Markers 166 and 176. Interstate 25 between
Mile Markers 168 and 190.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
