* WHAT...Excessive rainfall capable of causing minor flooding continues. * WHERE...A portion of southeast New York, including the following counties, Kings (Brooklyn), Nassau, Queens and Richmond (Staten Island). * WHEN...Until 1245 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1211 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen in spots. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.0 inches could occur over the area. - Some locations that could experience flooding include... Jamaica, Flatbush, Freeport, Valley Stream, Long Beach, Coney Island, Garden City, Lynbrook, Mineola, Woodmere, Rockaway Beach, Todt Hill, Crown Heights, Kennedy Airport, The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Huguenot, Forest Hills, Canarsie, Bay Ridge and Hempstead. - This includes the following event locations...
