* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast New York, including the following
counties, Nassau and southern Bronx.
* WHEN...Until 330 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1232 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mott Haven, Levittown, East Tremont, Freeport, Valley Stream,
Long Beach, Plainview, Garden City, Massapequa, Lynbrook,
Syosset, Mineola, Woodmere, Westbury, Great Neck,
Farmingdale, Throgs Neck Bridge, RFK Bridge, Hempstead and
Hicksville.
