Description:
At 240 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Fine, moving southeast at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Clifton, Pitcairn, Edwards, Fine, Piercefield, Hermon, Clare,
Russell, Colton, Tupper Lake, Lower Oswegatchie, Aldrich, Horseshoe
Lake, Wanakena, South Edwards, Cranberry Lake, Newton Falls, and Star
Lake.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.
