At 311 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near De Ruyter to near Enfield. Movement was
southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Ithaca, Cortland, Norwich, Newfield, Cayuga Heights, Lansing,
Enfield, Danby, Homer, and Caroline.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
central New York.
