Description: 
At 129 PM EDT, The heaviest rain has worked to the east of the area, However, Doppler radar indicated additional scattered thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is up to an inch hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Jamaica, Crown Heights, Forest Hills, Ozone Park, Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope, Woodside and Greenpoint.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
