Description:
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of Chatham, Durham, Orange and Wake counties.
* WHEN...Until 1015 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 711 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, RDU
International, Apex, Morrisville, Parkwood, Bethesda,
Research Triangle, Carpenter, Gorman, William B Umstead State
Park, Jordan Lake, Eno River State Park, Rollingview Marina,
Falls Lake, Falls Lake State Rec Area and Fearrington.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
