Description:
* WHAT...Nuisance flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northwestern Alexander County in the piedmont of North
Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 530 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. High
flows and rapid rises to bankfull on small streams and creeks,
including Lambert Fork and the Lower Little River
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 228 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Taylorsville, Ellendale and Millersville.
