* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Cumberland, Hoke, Montgomery, Moore and Richmond. * WHEN...Until 1215 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 921 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Fayetteville, Southern Pines, Raeford, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Hoffman, Antioch, Hope Mills, Pinebluff, Ellerbe, Foxfire, Taylortown, Norman, Ashley Heights, Bowmore and Silver City.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
