* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Hoke, Moore, eastern Richmond and Scotland. * WHEN...Until 400 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 306 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for western Richmond County until 5 AM EDT. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Laurinburg, Southern Pines, Raeford, Pinehurst, Aberdeen, Hoffman, Antioch, Whispering Pines, Pinebluff, Foxfire, Wagram, Taylortown, Vass, Gibson, East Laurinburg, Cameron, Camp Mackall, Ashley Heights, Bowmore and Silver City. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instruction: 
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
