* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Cumberland, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Moore, Richmond, Sampson and Scotland. * WHEN...Until 1230 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 921 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Fayetteville, Sanford, Laurinburg, Southern Pines, Clinton, Raeford, Lillington, Carthage, Fort Bragg, Pinehurst, Dunn, Aberdeen, Hoffman, Godwin, Pope AAF, Antioch, Hope Mills, Spring Lake, Erwin and Eastover. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
