Description:
At 710 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Midland to 7 miles
north of Ansonville. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Albemarle, Troy, Badin Lake, Biscoe, Ansonville, Plyler, Midland,
Polkton, Locust, and Norwood.
This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 46 and 60.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
