Description:
At 1133 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Raleigh, moving northeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest, Garner, Zebulon, Morrisville, Knightdale,
Wendell, Rolesville, and William B Umstead State Park.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 286 and 304.
Interstate 440 between Mile Markers 1 and 16.
Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 9 and 24.
US 1 between Mile Markers 99 and 101.
NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 20 and 22.
