Description:
At 202 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Raleigh, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest, Zebulon, Bunn, Knightdale, Rolesville,
Youngsville, Pilot, and Falls Lake Boat Ramp.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 288 and 291.
Interstate 440 between Mile Markers 2 and 13.
Interstate 540 between Mile Markers 8 and 24.
NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 20 and 22.
