Description:
At 326 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Duart, or 14 miles northeast of Lumberton, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Elizabethtown, Bladen Community College, Duart, Tolarsville, Lisbon,
Ammon, Lagoon, Tobermory, Ruskin, White Oak, Jerome, White Lake,
Dublin, Tar Heel, and Bladen County Hospital.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
southeastern North Carolina.
