Description:
At 436 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Penderlea to near Kelly to near Hallsboro.
Movement was southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Leland, Burgaw, Rowan, Lake Waccamaw, Northwest, Sandyfield,
Penderlea, Point Caswell, Hallsboro, Maple Hill, Long Creek, Redbug,
Ashton, Council, Rocky Point, Currie, Castle Hayne, Wards Corner, The
Borough, and Phoenix.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between mile markers 389 and 416.
Interstate 140 between mile markers 15 and 19.
