At 244 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles north of Pope AFB, or 10 miles north of Fort Bragg, moving
northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Lillington, Coats, Timberlake, Pineview, Anderson Creek, and Buies
Creek.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
central North Carolina.
