Description:
At 538 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles north of Clinton, moving east northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Clinton, Mount Olive, Newton Grove, Seven Springs, Hobbton, and
Cliffs Of The Neuse State Park.
This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 341 and 359.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
