Description:
At 136 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 15
miles southeast of Downtown Asheville, or 4 miles north of Bat Cave,
moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Chimney Rock Village, Chimney Rock State Park, Bat Cave, Lake Lure,
Shingle Hollow, and Gerton.
