Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the
following areas, Beaufort, Greene, Mainland Dare, Mainland Hyde,
Martin, Northern Outer Banks, Pitt, Tyrrell and Washington.
* WHEN...From 2 AM EDT Thursday through Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A slow moving cold front will approach and then stall over
eastern North Carolina beginning early Thursday morning and
lingering through Friday. Rounds of heavy rainfall and
thunderstorms could bring rainfall totals of 3 to 5 inches.
Heavier amounts will be possible where rainfall rates are the
most intense.
