* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of northeast North Carolina, including the following areas, Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Eastern Currituck, Gates, Hertford, Northampton, Pasquotank, Perquimans and Western Currituck. * WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers continue through tonight with heavy rain likely. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible with locally higher amounts.
