* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following areas, Beaufort, Greene, Mainland Dare, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Northern Outer Banks, Pitt, Tyrrell and Washington. * WHEN...Through Saturday evening. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are possible. Additionally, some tree damage is possible due to the very saturated soils. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A stalled front and a very moist airmass over eastern North Carolina will continue to support periods of heavy rain and thunderstorms with excessive rainfall rates. Additional rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected. Heavier amounts will be possible where thunderstorms occur. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
