Tyrrell County in eastern North Carolina... * Until 600 PM EDT. * At 525 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Wenona, or 10 miles southeast of Plymouth, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Killkenny, Ponzer, Alligator, Gum Neck, Kilkenny, Pungo, Columbia, Woodley, Pike Road, Wenona, Pleasant Grove, Scuppernong, Phelps Lake, Frying Pan Landing, Pungo Lake, Alligator Lake, Mackeys, Roper, and Creswell.
