* At 416 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northwest
of Hickory, or over Granite Falls, moving northeast at 5 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.

Lenoir, Sawmills, Granite Falls, Hudson, Cajah's Mountain,
Rhodhiss, Cedar Rock, Lake Rhodhiss, Hickory Regional Airport, and
Northlakes.
