Description:
At 633 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Rowan to Emerson, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect wind damage to trees and power lines.
Locations impacted include...
Whiteville, Rowan, Lake Waccamaw, Sandyfield, Penderlea, Point
Caswell, Hallsboro, Long Creek, Council, Currie, Wards Corner, The
Borough, Riegelwood, Carvers, Lisbon, Lagoon, Malpass Corner,
Montague, Elkton, and Rooks.
A second area of strong winds associated with a new area of storms
may enter the warned area before 7:00 pm.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
