Description:
At 1013 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 12 miles southeast of Smithfield to 12 miles southeast
of Benson to near Godwin, moving south at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Goldsboro, Smithfield, Mount Olive, Lillington, Fuquay-Varina, Dunn,
Angier, Benson, Fremont, and Walnut Creek.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 107 and 58.
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 318 and 355.
US 1 near Mile Marker 80.
