At 214 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Shelby to 3 miles northwest of Gaffney to 9 miles northeast of Spartanburg. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Gaffney, Shelby, Kings Mountain, Cowpens, Blacksburg, Grover, Patterson Springs, Hickory Grove, Earl, and Smyrna.
